Cobots and industrial robots do not operate in the same way
Frequent repositioning, tighter spaces and lighter payloads mean that welding with a cobot places different demands on the torch.

We develop MIG welding torches specifically for collaborative robotic automation
Combining lightweight construction, durable cable systems and reliable welding performance, Cobarc torches are designed around the way cobots operate.
Designed for flexibility
Cobot welding is commonly used for high-mix, low-volume production, the opposite of traditional industrial robot cells. Because cobot applications involve constant movement and operator interaction, smooth handling and consistent welding performance are essential.
Cobarc Mig welding torch systems are developed to move with the cobot while maintaining long-term durability.
Configurable design
Collaborative welding environments vary widely, and the torch setup can limit flexibility. If part of the torch needs changing for a new layout, or a tight space requires a different neck angle, having to replace the entire torch assembly creates unnecessary costs and lengthy downtime.
Cobarc cobot torches utilise a configurable single or 2 piece design for maximum flexibility.
Designed for simple cobot integration, the torch mounts to major cobot platforms including [BRANDS].
Single-Piece Torch
Features a fixed-neck design and a lightweight cable assembly. This setup minimises weight on the cobot arm, allowing for faster acceleration, smoother repositioning and stable robot motion in tight spaces.

2-Piece Torch
Features a detachable torch neck and a separate cable hose package. Easily replace a worn front end or swap neck angle without removing the whole torch system from the cobot, reducing downtime.

Cold Metal System
Cobarc’s 2-piece cobot welding torch is available with Cold Metal System (CMS) technology for controlled, low-heat metal transfer. Ideal for thin and heat-sensitive materials, CMS helps reduce heat input, spatter and distortion.
Positioning accuracy
Accurate torch positioning is essential in cobot welding to achieve consistent weld quality and repeatable performance. Frequent movement, repositioning and manual handling make tool centre point (TCP) stability critical.
Cobarc torch systems feature robust torch necks and stable mounting systems designed to maintain TCP accuracy throughout operation.

Thermal performance
Maintaining consistent performance over long production runs depends heavily on effective cooling. Excessive heat shortens consumable life, accelerates component wear and affects arc stability.
Cobarc torch systems feature optimised internal cooling channels to lower temperatures at the front end, protecting torch parts, ensuring long-term durability and maintaining weld quality.
Stable wire feed
Frequent repositioning and tighter cable routing can place additional strain on wire feed.
Cobarc torch systems are engineered to maintain reliable wire feed performance and stable arc characteristics during repetitive movement and stop-start welding cycles.

Key features
High-endurance cable
Built for varied cobot movement, our premium cables offer rigidity and heavy-duty wear resistance.
Integrated controls
The 3-button handle control allows for direct wire inching and gas testing directly at the torch.
Secure positioning
The torch is held firmly in position with an adjustable mounting bracket, maintaining the TCP accurately and ensuring strict path repeatability.
High-performance consumables
Heavy-duty CuCrZr contact tips and high-conductivity tip adaptors optimise current transfer. The setup features a single-piece nozzle with an integrated sensor for path alignment, an optional diffuser for soft or aluminium wires, and a secure, snap-fit insulator.
Leak free
An integrated liquid-stop mechanism completely seals when the torch neck is uncoupled. This allows for clean, leak-free neck changes without losing coolant.
